“The Nine Irony” has arrived!!!

Hello everybody,

For a writer the most exciting and scary day is the day your first book arrives. Well, yesterday I received my advance copy of The Nine Irony in UPS. My fingers trembled as I ripped open the package from my publisher, afraid that maybe the title was spelled wrong or they put my dog’s pic in instead of mine. Who knows? Any author goes though this anxiety. I began reading, praying that I wouldn’t find mistakes that I’d missed. Yes there were a few, but probably ones I would only notice. So, the soup is finished, the roast is out of the oven and Nick Thomas is a reality. He is a modern day Travis MGee, to those who might remember.

I will be setting up accounts today at Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble.com and Ingram Books.com and it will also be available though my web site. I will also have it in E-Book format and am working on an MP-3 version as well. I think we all have to embrace the NOW with new technology.

I will keep you posted and PLEASE order my book!!!! Thank You and I am GRATEFUL for all your support and encouragement! Tom

North Carolina Needs Writers

This is a call to arms for all you frustrated Hemingways in the making. I have started this blog to help us all motivate each other, find ways to be recognized and published and most of all have fun. My name is Tom Rieber and I live on the sunny coast of North Carolina in a sleepy bedroom town called Ocean Isle Beach. The name says it all. I am also the creator of Nick Thomas Mysteries. But all that being said I think that we, meaning all of you, can have some fun in the process of learning our craft and getting known.

W hat do you think of the idea of starting a living book? I’ll write a chapter or part of one and one of you add to it and see if it can begin to take a life. Who knows where this could possibly go? I am also entertaining the thought of starting a local writers group for people with a passion for fiction. We just need interaction. We could have a lot of fun. So let me know what you think. Feel free to email me or post a comment here and let’s get this ball rolling. Sky is the limit.
